The Officer Face in the corner changes color when a significant data element is missing.
The Officer Face will turn orange when the diagnostic event first occurs.
The Officer Face will turn red once that event persists for a long enough period of time (usually 30 minutes).
The Officer Face will return to normal, generally, once the issue is resolved and 7 days have passed.
Below are some of the more common diagnostic event types.
Diagnostic Event Types | Possible Reason | Possible Resolution | ||
Positioning Compliance | The device does not have a GPS Signal | Re-position the device/tablet in your cabin | ||
Power Compliance | The device is not getting power within a minute of the engine turning on or a critical piece of data is not present within one minute of the engine turning on | Check the device settings with your Fleet Manager, or, if everything checks out with the settings, have the ECM checked | ||
Engine Synchronization |

One or more of the following data elements are not being reported to the ELD "Engine Power Status", "Vehicle Motion Status", "Vehicle Miles", "Engine Hours" |
