Alarms allow a fleet manager to receive alerts via email or pop-up message when certain conditions are met. These can include HOS alarms for certain driver states, or temperature alarms for fleet managers who want to be alerted when pre-set limits have been exceeded.
Alarms can be created in the group setup page, under the "Alarms" tab. Clicking "Add New alarm Rule" in the bottom left will create a pop-up from which the alarm can be set.
Alarm rules are extremely adaptable, allowing for a wide variety of settings, many of which are self explanatory. Some example alarms may be found at the end of this article. When you are satisfied with your alarm rule, click "Save" and the alarm rule will be functional.
Examples
One - Warning Alarm
Many fleet managers utilizing HOS find it beneficial to receive an alert when their drivers may be approaching a violation. To set up an alarm, you may find the configuration below to meet that need.
Two - Temperature Alarm
If temperature monitoring is important to your business, you may want to set alarms in the event one vehicle reports a temperature outside normal bounds. To do so, you must first set up a temperature threshold for each unit in question. After that, you may set up a rule similar to the configuration below.
You will see a new notification option "Send to Driver". This requires the WLI Driver Temperature app. Please contact your salesman for more details on this.

Three - Input Alarm
Input alarms may be useful to some fleet managers, like those who wish to know what a variable is toggled. Examples may be a specific door opening or closing, or a device inside the vehicle being turned on. To do so, you simply need to match the configuration below, changing the state and the input to suit your needs based on the installation.
